WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BODY BUTTER AND A BODY LOTION?
Our body lotion is a water-based moisturizing lotion, so it's very light and absorbs quickly without leaving your skin greasy. The body butter is thicker and is a combination of three butters (shea butter, kokum butter, cocoa butter) and three oils (avocado oil, rice bran oil, sunflower oil), so it's more of an intense moisturization, very good for extra dry areas
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT BODY BUTTERS?
Our Body Butters all have the same base recipe of whipped butters (shea butter, kokum butter, cocoa butter) and oils (avocado oil, rice bran oil, sunflower oil) to nourish and protect your skin year-round.
The main differences are the essential oils added. The Lavender Body Butter has just Lavender added, whereas the Rose Geranium Body Butter has Rose Geranium, Cedarwood, and Egyptian Geranium added.
The E.O.s in the Healing Blend (Lavender, Geranium, Rosemary, Carrot Seed, Bergamot and Tea Tree) were specifically chosen not just because they smell wonderful, but also because of their healing properties. They heal broken and damaged skin, and are anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-pyretic (take the heat out of burns). The Healing Blend is a great all-purpose healing salve - good for eczema, cuts, scrapes, burns, sunburns, bug bites, after tattoo care and scar tissue.
IMPORTANT HEAT ADVISORY
Heat can cause your body butter to melt - store at room temperature. Any melted body butters can also be re-solidified (just pop it in the fridge!), but will look like a salve rather than its original whipped consistency - the product is still good to use.
