Although our bar soaps are formulated for the body, some work well as a natural shampoo alternative. However, they may require a few extra steps for the best results.
Our top picks are Peppermint & Tea Tree, Honey Oatmeal, and Lavender & White Tea.
How to Wash Your Hair with Bar Soap:
- Wet your hair thoroughly.
- Lather the bar in your hands.
- Massage the lather into your scalp as you would with shampoo.
- Smooth the lather down the length of your hair using your fingers like a comb.
- Rinse, rinse, rinse! Don’t rush this step—natural soap needs extra rinsing to avoid residue.
- Follow with an Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) rinse to restore pH balance and smooth hair.
Why Use an ACV Rinse?
Natural soap has a higher pH than shampoo, which can open the cuticle, leaving hair feeling rough. An ACV rinse balances the scalp’s pH, closes and smooths the cuticle, reduces frizz, adds shine, and helps with detangling.

Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse Recipe
- Mix ½ to 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water.

- Optional: Add a few drops of essential oil for scent.
- After shampooing, pour over hair, avoiding eyes.
- Let sit for 1-2 minutes, then rinse well.
